Not able to contact SecuritySpy server over internet (iPhone application)
Hi, please help me to find out why I can not reach SecuritySpy server over internet. I have the next settings:
- the server is running on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012), 8 GB RAM
- version of SecuritySpy 5.0.1
- there are 3 Hikvision cameras connected using H.264
- on the Web page in application test for Dynamic DNS Name is on green
- port si fw on the router (I wand to connect only https)
- I added SecuritySpy as an exception in the firewall
I think that I made all the necessary settings, but I can not connect to the server via internet. I get de error message in the iPhone application "unable to connect to the server".

Hi Lucian,
It's difficult to diagnose these kinds of problems without looking at your actual settings. So please could you email us and include screenshots of the following:
- SecuritySpy's Web settings, with the "How Do I Access This Server" info visible
- Your Mac's Firewall settings
- Your router's port forwarding settings.
To capture a screenshot, press command-shift-4 and select the area you want to capture. A file called "Screen shot" will appear on your desktop.
Thanks. -
