Does SecuritySpy software support URL Schemes..

URL Schemes :- Launch an app from(within) another (iPhone/iPad)

I am using a home automation system and i need to open the security app from my home automation app, Does SecuritySpy software support URL Schemes?

    seems the url provided are particular camera..But if i want to open the main view (All camera list)?

    To open the camera list, simply use the "live" request without specifying any particular camera. I'll add this to the user guide.

    Are there any other extensions available for the URL Scheme (other than the 3 listed in the user guide)...strings that can launch other actions within the app?

    I’m trying to configure the quickest, simplest way to toggle IOS Notifications On/Off. The problem is that in IOS it just takes too many clicks and too much scrolling to find an app once you get into Settings...and there are no shortcuts or launcher apps with direct access to Notifications.

    What is beautiful is that SecuritySpy app actually has a built-in option to enable/disable notifications within the app itself (using the gear icon on the lower-right of the camera feed window), which means the IOS Notifications can just be left on and don’t need to be accessed at all. I think that’s how it works right?

    Anyway, with that in mind, I’m hoping there might still be a URL Scheme that could go straight to that feature or launch the action. I’m currently using this string “securityspy://[host]:[port]/live?cameraNum=[n]” to launch my feed, but if there’s an extension that either triggers the popup menu to Enable/Disable Notifications and Show/Hide in Multiplex, or one that actually toggles the Notification preference itself, that would be amazing.

    Hi @ifunlisted - there are no hidden features to the URL stream beyond what is described in the manual ("live" and "download"), so what you are describing cannot be done currently, and this is such a niche request that I don't think we will be implementing this in the future.

    Perhaps if you can describe the ultimate purpose of what you are trying to achieve by toggling the notifications, I can suggest another solution? For example, another way to prevent notifications would be to disarm the applicable camera(s) in SecuritySpy running on your Mac, which can be done manually or based on a schedule.

    Thanks Ben:) I just find myself needing to turn my IOS notifications on/off on the fly fairly often (for motion detection alerts). I normally dread any time I have to go into my iPhone settings, then scroll through a hundred apps just to flip a toggle switch...it seems like it could be a much simpler process. Thankfully, with SecuritySpy, it IS much simpler.

    I use Launch Center Pro to get from my home screen to my SS feed in two clicks (also possible with Workflow), then it's just two more clicks to enable/disable the notifications.

    I wanted to check to make sure there wasn't another extension that could be added to the URL Scheme that could save me two more clicks. Definitely not something that needs to be implemented...it's great as-is:)

    Yes, finding a particular app in that massive long list is painful!

    Here's another shortcut: in the SecuritySpy app, if you exit from the particular server you are currently viewing by clicking the link at the top of the screen (which is the name of the server), you get back to the first screen which shows your list of servers. In the top-left corner of that screen you will see a "Settings" link. Tap that to go directly to the SecuritySpy iOS app settings, where you can toggle notifications on/off. This may be easier than doing it in the app itself, where you have to do it on a per-camera basis.

    Yep! Love that option too. It's actually still quicker for me with Launch Center and the gear icon in the camera feed. Thanks again:)
