ASUS RT-N66U and Port Forwarding

I'm struggling to get the settings to work properly. I have tried using the directions under "Remote Monitoring" and i just can't figure out how to access SecuritySpy on my computer from another network.

Any suggestions?

    I am able to see the SecuritySpy web server on another device on the same network. So i'm pretty sure the port forwarding isn't working properly.

    Hi, please see this guide to port forwarding for the RT-N66U router - the setting is under the WAN section on the left side of the router's web interface.

    You'll need to forward WAN port 8000 to the IP address of the Mac running SecuritySpy on port 8000. Then set up a DDNS address in SecuritySpy's web settings (Preferences -> Web).

    If you are still having problems, please email us screenshots of your port forwarding settings, along with SecuritySpy's web settings and the Network system preference, and we will check over everything (use command-shift-4 and select an area of the screen to capture a screenshot to your Desktop).

    Thanks for replying!! I'm really happy to say that your instructions are perfect!

    The issue was on my side. I have the ASUS router hooked to a modem with wifi functionality. I needed to change the settings on the modem.

    All is working great and I can see the camera from outside my home network.

    Not sure if I should start another thread....but....

    I have a 2nd camera that I want to add. What is the best way to go about that?

    To add an IP camera, please see our guide for setting up IP cameras. You can always email us if you run into any problems, and in this case please provide screenshots of any relevant settings pages (e.g. camera IP setup).
