reolink 180 camera with floodlight...any way to control the spotlight or siren in app?

I am using a Reolink Duo Floodlight. any way to control the spotlight or siren from mac os or ios apps?

Comments

  • I'm afraid not - this is a camera-specific feature that cannot be controlled by SecuritySpy.

  • if the camera has an api you can trigger the alarm with a curl request thru a script.

  • There is this API guide for Reolink - I haven't tried it with any of mine - no time - but post here if you have success!

  • Well, I spent 10 minutes on it... no luck with activating via the API. With my firmware on the Reolink Duo 2 POE firmware version v3.0.0.1889_23031700 there is no floodlight support, but the unit has one. So I guess that means request it in support and wait.

    curl -k "https://192.168.100.46/api.cgi?cmd=GetAbility&user=admin&password=NotTHEPassword1"

    [snip too much junk out of response]

            "floodLight" : {

               "permit" : 0,

               "ver" : 0

             },

    [more stuff]

  • Try this maybe

    For the siren atleast

  • You can search google for the lastest reolink api document. And if u can understand it you can then make a curl command to control things like lights/sirens (if reolink api allows it for ur model). Then in mac os u can put 4 of those curl commands in the settings and theb right click on the cameras live feed to use those functions.

    The part you would input it in mac OS in securityspys

    settings look like this, its under like advanced options button. And you must be on the latest version of sucurityspy. These controls arent available for ios/web yet

  • I am using the new Reolink CX-410 low light night color camera, I can't control the light or siren from SS... but, I can go into the camera UI and set the light to come on/off with motion at specific times, and also have the siren sound with motion. I don't need the siren but the camera alone has great night color with very little light (street light is more than enough), and when the LED flood light comes on it is like daylight with this new lens. I had trouble with SS finding the camera, but using the camera UI I was able to turn on RTSP and ONVIF support which was off by default. Very happy with this camera and will be getting more, hoping for a domed version, currently only bullet available.

  • For anyone interested, I would suggest looking into Home Assistant. It works great with Reolink and has an integration for Security Spy. I'm going to be making a post with a video here in the next week or so showing some amazing things you can do with it.
