    I might try it after I get my M2 set up.

    I don't have any experience with Python or pip, but they look to have been in common use for a while.

    The developer of asitop has been maintaining and upgrading it for two years now.

    I can understand he has to post a disclaimer, but I think there would be reports by others if it caused any significant problems for them.

    I'll post results if I actually end up installing it.

    Apple should eventually integrate the display of that activity into Activity Monitor, as it is already being monitored by the OS.
