Logitech meetup
Hi Ben - the Logitech Meetup is a nice USB connected 4K ptz wide angle conference camera that plugged into my Security spy server works great - the camera supports PTZ and Optical Zoom, however these features don’t seem to work through the security spy app. As a conference cam it also has an excellent mic and speaker, which would be amazing if it supported 2 way audio.
Any way I, or you could enable these features to work with a usb connected camera? Or maybe I’ve missed some obvious setting?

Thanks for the feedback, it's good to hear your experiences with this camera.
SecuritySpy accesses USB cameras via the "UVC" drivers built into macOS, which allows it to work with a wide variety of USB cameras, but unfortunately Apple's drivers don't support features like PTZ. So I don't think it will be possible for us to add this feature unfortunately.
In terms of two-way audio, although this could be possible for us to implement, we've never actually had a request for this with USB cameras, so I'm not sure there is demand enough to add this feature to SecuritySpy. Considering the camera can't be placed far from the Mac due to USB cable limits, could you describe how such a feature could be useful?

Hi Ben, thanks for the quick reply and understand re the apple drivers.
My rationale for the Logitech meetup is family and friends are generally uncomfortable having an indoor camera like a dome camera ceiling mounted indoors, however a “meeting room” style camera is more accepted and common place - in our case mounted on the TV to enable VC (and keeping an eye on the kids).
Having the ability to use the meetup while away from home as an indoor camera is also useful, and the feature of 2 way audio made sense given its capability as a conference camera type device with integrated speaker / microphone and the ability to communicate with anyone who came inside for whatever reason.
Appreciate it’s a pretty niche idea - just wondered if there was a setting I was missing etc.
thanks,
Jono

Thanks for the further detail. I see what you mean about the form factor being more commonplace and acceptable indoors in a home. I'll see what we can do about the two-way audio in a future update.
