M1 Mac with Version 4 software

We recently had a mac mini that died and couldn't be repaired. Replaced it with an M1 model. SecuritySpy now shows blank gray screens when viewing from an IOS device. If you click on the gray box it will populate with the video feed and works fine. After the app is closed and reopened you have to go through the process again of tapping the gray screens.

Is there an issue with running Version 4 with the M1's? We had the same issue happen about a year ago with an old Imac, Replaced it with a new Imac with the M1 but it was one of our newer systems and was Version 5....and it has no issues.

Just want to verify I'm not missing something before I tell the higher ups we need to upgrade that site.

    The older v4 version of SecuritySpy has been discontinued for some time now, and as you have discovered, does not work fully with new macOS systems and hardware. So the solution here would be to upgrade to the latest v5 version, which is fully compatible with the latest macOS system and also optimised for the M1 chip. You can read more about upgrading here.
