I don’t find a text overlay function for the QNV-8080R. If anyone else resolved this please pass on how you did it.

    I believe this will be labelled "OSD" (On Screen Display) and should be somewhere in the camera's settings pages. Let me know if you still can't find it and I'll do a little more digging.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I can find no reference to any on-screen text /on screen display in either the manual or the camera settings. I have never had a camera that couldn’t at least display the time/date.


    I appreciate your help; maybe I have gone daft…

    I found it under admin camera setup. In the center of the page there are tab like shapes; one says OSD just as you said.

    Great to hear you managed to find it. The location of this setting varies from camera to camera, so it sometimes requires a bit of hunting around for!
