Target stacking, is the computation in SS or the IPcamers?
I do not find a clear explanation about where the computations are done for target tracking. Is it within SS or individual PTZ IP cameras, i.e. NSC 4A425?
Can IVMS 4200 or Guarding Vision set up the parameters for tracking and SS capture the tracking video from the IPcameras without changing any parameters? Using these programs for set up and then switching to SS for long term monitoring and recording.

Are you referring to PTZ auto-tracking, whereby the camera will attempt to move to follow a moving object in it's view? If so, then SecuritySpy does not have such a feature itself (see this other forum discussion for reasons why.
SecuritySpy has no way to know that the camera is moving independently (i.e. when SecuritySpy itself hasn't sent the movement commands), so when this happens it will look to SecuritySpy like a lot of motion has happened, so it should trigger SecuritySpy's motion detection and start recording if configured to do so. The exception to this is if SecuritySpy's AI object detection is enabled for humans and/or vehicles - in this case, mere motion isn't enough to trigger recording, there also has to be an actual human/vehicle in the view to cause a trigger. -
Hi Ben,
Yes, I am referring to PTZ auto tracking. So as I read your response, if the PTZ camera is set to track it will do so independent of SS. SS only observes motion and will trigger ( where does whole frame setting enter that decision)? Guess I should label my horses as vehicles?
It sounds like there is target processing going on in both the camera and SS. SS limits itself to AI setting for specificity.
Thanks for the sights. -
You are right to mention the "Ignore whole-frame motion" setting. If you want SecuritySpy to trigger recording when the camera moves independently, then you should leave this option turned off. With this option turned on, the whole-camera motion caused by the camera's movement may not trigger recording in SecuritySpy.
And, if you want to capture horses, then you should turn SecuritySpy's AI off (both the human and vehicle options).
