Error processing the backup file

File does not exist is the end of the message

Backup files holds movie metadata that enables SecuritySpy to restore corrupt movie files (e.g. if a disk was disconnected or the Mac was switched off during recording). This error indicates that one of these backup files was left after recording, and the original movie file cannot be found, so cannot be reconstructed. When this happens, SecuritySpy repeatedly tries to process the backup file for two days (this allows for a disconnected disk to be reconnected and the recordings there to be reconstructed).
So the first thing you should do is to check SecuritySpy's log file (File menu in SecuritySpy > Open Log) for any recording errors that would indicate a problem you may need to take action to fix (e.g. a missing disk).
To clear the files and stop the messages, first download and install the latest beta version of SecuritySpy (currently 5.3.4b10) and go to the SecuritySpy menu > Debug submenu > Clear Old Backup Files. However note that this will prevent SecuritySpy from recovering any corrupt movie files that may have been left somewhere.
(This menu item will be included in the official 5.3.4 release (out soon) but for now it's fine to use the beta.)
