SecuritySpy as Remote Viewing Software - Browser Access On Server
I just finished up setting my SecuritySpy server in the US for my 6 cameras. They are recording on motion and are passing on people AI to the browser for search.
I then installed SecuritySpy on my MacBook Pro in Europe and imported all cameras from the server for remote viewing (limiting the frame rate at 6 fps). This works really well for remote viewing!
Now I would also love to use my SP Remote Instance to search the server browser for recorded movie clips. However, when I open the browser on my MBP it just shows an empty library. I assume its just looking at my local machine on which I'm not actually recording anything.
Is there any way to also use the remote instance of SP to browse my server instance of SP? That would be so useful.

Oh and also it would be really great if you could have the option to filter by people on the iOS app!

A second copy of SecuritySpy used for remote viewing can only access the live video from the server, not recorded files.
The best way to look at captured footage is to use a web browser (e.g. Safari or Chrome) to connect to the server. However via this method there are no controls to do advanced searches (e.g. using AI or motion data). We do plan to add this in a future update.
I agree, it would also be useful to be able to filter by people on the iOS app, we'll see if we can add this in the future.
For now, you could enable the Screen Control feature in SecuritySpy's web interface, and via this, operate the Browser on the server Mac in order to perform advanced searches in the Browser. -
Thanks! Would absolutely love to see advanced search futures in both the iOS app and web interface. At least adding the AI filters to the search would be incredibly helpful.
