I'm just looking for the best way to setup tinyCam using Security Spy.

    This FAQ should help: Is there an Android app for SecuritySpy?

    "We recommend the tinyCam Monitor app. To set up a camera in the tinyCam app: add a new camera, set the Vendor to Mac and the Model to SecuritySpy, enter the IP address, port and username/password of your SecuritySpy server, and in Advanced Settings set the channel number to a SecuritySpy camera number. In this way you can add multiple cameras to be viewed by the app for live video streaming. Alternatively, the IP Cam Viewer app also supports live video and audio streaming from SecuritySpy."

    What username/password is it looking for?

    Cameras, User I setup in SS or the macs?

    None work :/

    Also if I have no port set in SS, do I just used their default port?

    The username/password that tinyCam needs is the one you have set up for a web account in SecuritySpy under Preferences > Web.

    SecuritySpy's standard ports are 8000 for HTTP and 8001 for HTTPS. Assuming you're connecting over a local network, I would recommend enabling SecuritySpy's HTTP service on port 8000, and using this in tinyCam.

    "enter the IP address" - this is where I got stumped! My brain added an s to address then I used the IP of the camera not the IP of SecuritySpy!

    So now that I have that fixed only 2 out of my 3 cameras are working. The 3rd one times out.

    How does setting the channel number know what camera will be what? I tried to rearrange the order in SecuritySpy thinking this might be what channel number is but it did not work. I think this might be why my 3rd camera does not work as well.

    I think I see the issue. I have 5 Cameras but one is disabled. The camera number seems to be hardcoded when the camera gets installed.

    In tinyCam 1 equals 0 is SecuritySpy.

    I have the camera now working and able to connect using channel number 5 which equals 4, but I now have 100% dropped frames.

    Is this SecuritySpy putting a limit on me with my 4 licenses?

    It sounds like you are almost there!

    Camera numbers are set when each camera is created, and never change. You can see camera numbers in the Camera Info window (if you don't see this column, click the header bar where you see the column names for a menu that allows you to add it).

    With a 4-camera license, the first 4 cameras that are show in the Camera Info window can be recorded and streamed via the web interface (to web browsers and tinyCam) - subsequent cameras will be "view only" which means that you can view their live video in SecuritySpy, but they won't record nor stream via the web interface. Are you hitting this limit here?

    It sounds like more of a limit imposed by me not being able to choose which cameras what cameras are 1 to 4.

    I have some cameras setup but disabled. Currently I am only using 3 cameras.

    A fix for this would be deleting and readding cameras in order of what I want 1 to 4 would be, but that is kind of a pain!

    Disabled cameras don't count towards the license limit, so it shouldn't be this causing the problem.

    And you can rearrange cameras by dragging them up/down in the list on the left under Preferences > Cameras.

    With a four-camera license, the first four enabled cameras in this list will be fully licensed.
