move security spy to different computer
new computer 10.9.2, security spy 3.3
old computer 10.6.8, security spy 3.0.3 (now deactivated)
I followed the instructions to copy the newest version of the security spy preferences file and put it it in /library/preferences
I have 5 cameras after copying the file and launching security spy on new computer only shows 3. what am I missing?

Hi Saran - I can think of two things:
1. Library folder must be the one in your user directory, not the system Library folder. To get to this user Library folder, hold the alt key when clicking the Finder's Go menu, and select the Library option that appears there.
2. For local devices (as opposed to network devices), SecuritySpy auto-detects these, so the available local devices will depend on what is actually plugged into the computer via USB, Thunderbolt or FireWire. Are the missing cameras local devices or network devices?
