Send Alert, notification or mail on any error, possible?

Last two days there were no recordings due to an error -36. It appeared the video storage drive index had to be repaired; likely due to a mains power failure. Security Spy was complaining about not being able to create a folder for the day.
Is there a way to automatically send an alert, push a notification or send an e-mail on any abnormal situation, even if it is not video-related?

Yes - in the General Settings, you'll see an option "Email error reports to" - simply enter your email address there.
