Feature Request - Action Schedule Overrides

I use Action schedules on my interior cameras, setting them to send emails on motion from my downstairs cameras during the hours that we are usually in bed (bedrooms are upstairs) with the intent of capturing any unauthorized entry.

When we stay up past our usual bedtime I set Actions Schedule Overrides on the downstairs cameras so that I'm not generating motion-triggered emails of just my family moving around.

It would be nice to be able to select multiple cameras in the Camera Info window and apply the same Action Schedule Override to the selected cameras at the same time.

Obviously this feature is just a "nice to have" since you currently provide a means to do what I describe but it can be a bit tedious setting the overrides on multiple cameras, especially since there isn't (so far as I understand) any indication that a camera has been set to override its schedule. (Thinking about it, maybe an indicator in the Camera Info window that an override has been applied to a particular camera would solve my "Did I override that camera yet?" problem)

Thanks for your consideration and also thanks for your excellent application. I've been a 16 camera licensed user of SecuritySpy for years and have been loving the new features that v5 has provided. The human and vehicle detection additions are great and have all but eliminated my motion capture of trees and bushes being blown by the wind.

    As someone who also runs home automation software on the same system running SecuritySpy, I would solve this by writing a small script that uses curl to send these schedule overrides to security spy. Then I would tie that script to a trigger like triple tapping a specific light switch next to the stairs, or simply turning on the stair light using the upstairs switch. "Heading down after bed time? Triple tap here to disable camera actions for 30 minutes."

    As a "power user" - I almost never look at the security spy interface. Most of my interactions happen in the API, and almost everything you want to do is available there.

    I'm not opposed to more features in the UI; sounds great, but I just wanted to give you a possible workaround. ie. write a script using curl.

    Thanks for the suggestion, I agree there should be more ways to easily set schedules and overrides for multiple cameras at the same time in the UI.

    To this end, we have added a "Schedule Setter" window to the latest beta version of SecuritySpy (currently 5.2.1b6).

    If you haven't done so already, make a group for your downstairs cameras (Preferences -> Groups), and then use the new Schedule Setter window to set an override for all of them at once.

    Let me know what you think once you've had a chance to test.

    Excellent! I can't say that I expected such a quick response to my feature request but I am very happy with your implementation of this new feature.

    You supplied a much better UI for the feature than I had imagined and your implementation covers all of the possible overrides I could want to apply while utilizing the Groups feature that I was already using.

    Thank you so very much for your fantastic work. I've never had such a fast a response from any developer on any support request that I've ever made... EVER!
