Amcrest brand being replaced by AMLINK
We got this email today and wonder how the new brand of cameras will work with SecuritySpy. We’ve been happy with Amcrest up to this point.
Important Message from Amcrest Industries
For the past 12 years, we have proudly built the Amcrest brand in the United States in partnership with Dahua, the world's second-largest manufacturer of IP surveillance cameras. Due to recent FCC regulations, however, we are no longer able to import Dahua-manufactured products into the United States.
The good news is that we have partnered with Foxconn—one of the world's largest electronics manufacturers and the company that assembles Apple's iPhone—to launch our next-generation of IP surveillance products under the AMLINK brand.
AMLINK delivers high-quality, NDAA-compliant IP cameras and NVRs designed for both residential and commercial applications. The platform supports third-party integration through RTSP and has been engineered for a smooth transition from existing Amcrest systems. AMLINK cameras are compatible with Amcrest NVRs, and Amcrest cameras are compatible with AMLINK NVRs, allowing customers to expand or upgrade their systems without replacing existing equipment.
