Watchnet Pentabrid DVR

Hi:

I have a watchnet 16 channel Pentabrid DVR (PNT-1680AILR2-2T) I have no problem seeing streams 1-8 (Main and Sub) with ONVIF profile but are unable to see the rest of the channels.

With their remote software I can see every channel. Any ideas?

    Hi Ricardo, I think this is explained by SecuritySpy currently having a limit of 16 streams with the ONVIF profile. With 8 streams where each has a main and a sub, you will be hitting this limit.

    So, in the latest beta version of SecuritySpy, we have increased this limit to 64. Please test this and let me know if it resolves the problem.

    Great news, I disabled ONVIF at this time but will be enabling again this weekend and try with the beta. I am watching the cameras right now with their app and this is the credentials they sent me for the non ONVIF stream.

    Here's the RTSP for your reference.

    URL Syntax rtsp://<username>:<password>@<ip>:<port>/cam/realmonitor?channel=<channelNo>&subtype=<typeNo>

    <username>: a valid user’s username.

    <password> :user’s password.

    <ip> :the IP address of the MPIX video product.

    <port >:the default port is 554. It can be omitted.

    <channelNo> :the channel number. It starts from 1.

    <typeNo> :the stream type. The <typeNo> of main stream is 0, extra stream 1 is 1, extra stream 2 is 2.The extra stream

    counts can be obtained in 4.1.2 GetMaxStreamCounts. The stream must be enabled by setting head.VideoEnable to

    true in 4.4.4 SetVideoEncodeConfig.


    It looks to me the same as Dahua but that profile didn't work.

    That request is the same as the one that SecuritySpy uses when the Dahua profile is selected, so I'm surprised that this doesn't work for you. This could be worth another try, making sure that all other details (address, port etc.) are correct. Otherwise, I hope the ONVIF tweak in the latest beta will do the job for you.

    I found a workaround, even tough Security Spy just finds 8 stream I was able to add the additional streams manually entering:

    /cam/realmonitor?channel=15&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif

    For the next beta you just need to be able to see all the streams when you choose Onvif

    I'm glad you were able to work this out with a manual configuration. It's surprising that the beta didn't offer this with the ONVIF profile. We'll take another look to see if we can spot any further problems with SecuritySpy offering more than 16 streams, although it's also possible that the NVR isn't actually making all streams available via ONVIF.
