Feature Request - Push notifications for camera signal loss
Hi Ben;
I realize hardwired cameras are the best way to go, but I have one wifi camera that I just can't hardwire due to building physical limitations. It occasionally drops its IP address (it's a known issue with Amcrest cameras apparently) and the only way to get it to reacquire one is to physically power cycle it. There is no setting in the camera firmware to force it to reboot if it loses it's IP address.
This creates a problem where I don't know the camera has gone offline unless I check the SecuritySpy companion app and see the disconnection icon. This means I could have a fair chunk of the day where there is no surveillance, and I don't even know it, which is not ideal.
Is there some way to have the desktop app monitor the IP connections to our cameras and then send a push notification to us if a camera has been offline for more than a user-specified period? Could it be programmed to ping the cameras and if it doesn't get a reply, set off an action? That way the down time could be minimized until we can reset the system.
Thanks for your consideration.

Currently, push notifications are used for motion/trigger events only.
However, SecuritySpy can send you an email when an error is encountered (which includes a camera going offline). This can be set up under Preferences > Email. I hope this will provide the functionality you need.
