Full time low res recording with high res recording only upon motion detection
Is it possible to record 24/7 at a low resolution (say 640 x 480), but record full resolution only when a motion event occurs? If so, would this require two licenses for each camera since it might involve two streams?
I have not found a way to do this, so if anyone has ideas (especially if it doesn't involve paying for 8 more licenses), I'd appreciate any thoughts.

There is no option in SecuritySpy for one camera to receive different streams, but you can achieve this by setting up two camera instances in SecuritySpy for each camera, one receiving the low-res stream for which you enable continuous capture, and the other receiving the high-res stream for which you enable motion capture. The problem with this setup is that then each camera will count for double towards the limit imposed by your license. If this is the case, please email us to demonstrate this setup, and we will find a solution for you that doesn't involve you paying double.

This was exactly what I was asking in one of my questions in my first post.
Ben are you saying it can be done or you want to see what someone is trying to do to see if there’s a workaround other than double the licenses?

To only way (at the moment) to achieve what @Spotopolis is describing is to add each camera twice. This will work pretty well, but as I mentioned there are implications for the license. Please let me know if anything isn't clear and I will do my best to explain better.
