Alert if Storage Destination goes offline
I might have either been looking in the wrong place or missed it, but is there a way for an alert or something if the capture storage destination goes offline?
I've been temporarily running my server on a 2012 Mac Pro, and the capture storage destination has been an internal traditional HDD. But I am now switching over to an M1 mini based server, and my capture storage destination is an external 1tb M.2 NVMe connected through USB-C.
For some reason, in the middle of the night last night, it seems to have disconnected and gone offline. (That is a whole problem in and of itself that I have to look into, unfortunately.)
It seems SS fell back onto the system drive when the storage drive dropped away, so that was great. Nothing was lost (and happily nothing I needed to know about happened anyway) but I didn't even realize this had occurred. There's not much space on my system drive, so it could only probably keep a few days of footage.

The best way to be notified of this is to set an email address for the "Send error reports" option under Preferences > Email in SecuritySpy. When this happens, an error will be generated and you will receive an email informing you of the problem. You will also be informed of any other significant problem that occurs.

Actually found it under Preferences -> General rather than Preferences -> Email.
Also put email in for Daily Stats, I'll be interested to see what shows up there!

Great. FYI in the latest 5.4 release these options have been moved to the Email tab, so you might like to upgrade your version of SecuritySpy (SecuritySpy menu > Check For Update).

Didn't realize I was out of date... hah I run headless, so I turned off the check-on-start option.
I interact with my SecuritySpy dedicated Mac mini's with Screen Sharing, and it seems to work really well I'm finding.
