I read thru the prior posts and it seems as if the camera own triggers could not be used in ss and that you needed to,set triggers for motion etc from within the app. …..Is this still the case ?

    SecuritySpy supports camera triggers for specific camera brands only: Axis, Dahua, Amcrest and Hikvision. For Hikvision, this support extends to motion detection and line detection events generated by the camera; for the others this support covers the physical input ports on the camera. If you have one of these cameras, make sure to use the camera-specific profile under Preferences > Cameras > Device, and then you will see that the "Camera triggers" options are available under Preferences > Cameras > Triggers.

    For any other camera, the available triggers are the ones that SecuritySpy itself offers under Preferences > Cameras > Triggers, which are video motion detection (including AI object detection), audio detection, and HomeKit triggers.
