Weird issue with iPad app
I have a 3rd generation iPad Pro which I use to view my cameras while working. I recently set up an app called Scrypted. I'm taking RTSP feeds from SecuritySpy and uing them in the Scrypted app, because it enables Homekit Secure Video for any RTSP/ONVIF compatible camera.
The issue I'm having is that the cameras I view in the SecuritySpy app are very choppy. But the same cameras which are now integrated into Homekit are perfectly smooth. The difference is pretty significant. The first video is the SecuritySpy app, and the second is the Homekit app which is getting its feed from SecuritySpy.
I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to improve this performance.

If you temporarily stop/disable Scrypted, do you then find that the streams in SecuritySpy become smooth?
My initial guess is that the server is struggling to keep up with distributing feeds to both Scrypted and the SecuritySpy app simultaneously. One thing you can try to mitigate this is to go to the Settings app on the iPad, scroll down and tap on SecuritySpy, and set the "Live H.264 Video" option to "Off". This will switch from H.264/RTSP to JPEG/HTTP streaming - the latter of which is easier for the server to produce and therefore likely to work better over a local network.
