Uniview good to go?
Thinking of adding a Uniview 5MP POE PTZ cam (fully ONVIF-compliant) to my motley collection and since they aren't listed in the SS dropdown menu of usual suspects I came here to search and found some old discussion about live feeds not showing up (not sure which model). Can anyone vouch for current Uniview PTZ working OK using the generic ONVIF option? TIA.

We've had some recent feedback from a customer using some of the latest Uniview models. The feedback is generally that it works, but there is an issue with the frame rate whereby the camera can either deliver 1fps or 25fps but nothing between, which could be a one-off issue or misconfiguration, but could also be a general bug with these cameras. We haven't really had enough experience or feedback about them to give good advice on compatibility I'm afraid. It's certainly safer to go for a manufacturer that is shown as being compatible on our list of compatible cameras, but if you do decide to go for this Uniview model, please report back once you've had a chance to test it.
