Is there a way to keep files from going to the default storage location and only to the specified upload location. Right now I am getting files in both locations which I'd ideally like to avoid

    SecuritySpy can't record directly to a remote server (e.g. FTP or Amazon S3) because the speed and stability of such a connection is not sufficient - it needs to first record the files locally, and then you have the option to upload them for backup if you so wish. If you don't want the files to hang around for very long on the local storage, you could set them to delete automatically after a day or two, under Preferences - Storage.
