Opening m4v files gives security alert on Big Sur

When opening m4v files, I get the "Unidentified Developer" security alert on Big Sur. When I open the same file on for example High Sierra, I don't have the warning. Any idea how to solve this ?

    Files themselves don't trigger this warning - it's the application that the files are set to open with that must be triggering this alert. If you select this file in the Finder and then select Get Info from the File menu (or Command-I on the keyboard), this shows which application is set to open files of this type. If it is not set to QuickTime Player, then the best course of action is to set this to QuickTime Player, and then click the "Change All" button so that all files of this type will be set to open in QuickTime Player by default.
