Zil(i)nk PTZ 920/1080

Hi,

I am referring to these cams:

http://www.zilink.cn/en/products/detail_69.html

On Amazon.de they are branded as "Zilnk" (note the missing second i).

The cameras seem to partially work with some of SecSpy´s presets for other brands. However, no single preset manages to fully support PTZ Zoom and PTZ pan and PTZ presets. Some will support only one or two of it, some will only support picture. All presets that manage to do anything with the zoom will only allow for a brief zoom movement before the zoom stops and the camera re-focuses. This way you could, in theory, zoom out fully within 15 minutes … ;)
Is there any way to include a profile for these cameras that fully supports all PTZ functions?

Thanks.

  • Have you tried the ONVIF profile? The camera's specifications do indicate that this is supported.

If that doesn't work, please let me know specifically which profiles work with which features, and we may be able to combine these into a Zilink profile that supports everything.
  • ONVIF: PTZ only works for presets. When I try to pan or zoom, movement will not stop when I release the mouse button. Instead pan and zoom go on indefinitely, until the zoom or pan hits the respective hardware end position.

The best possible compromise-profile I found is:

INSTAR in-5907, ... PTZ presets work to the extend that they will also "remember" the zoom settings for each preset, pan and tilt works, zoom does not work - there is only one small zoom step per mouse cliick, then the zoom stops and camera re-focuses

    Wansview NCH532MW, NCM621W - like Instar IN-5907, ... above

    FOSCAM FI9820W - like INSTAR IN-5907, ... above

    EasyN - like NSTAR IN-5907, ... above

I have only tested the auto detected RTSP H.264 profiles. I have found no profile that works with the manual PTZ zoom of this camera. I am sure it is not rocket science to find out what tweak would be needed, in order to turn one of the above profiles into a working one.

Basically, profiles 2 to 5 above, combined with the ONVIF zoom function, enhanced to the point that the zoom doesn´t just either zoom in or out completely, would make a working profile, probably.

    Thanks for looking into this.

  • I am still interested in a working PTZ profile for these cams.

  • Sorry for the delay. It's possible that we can modify the "stop moving" ONVIF command so that your camera will recognise it. Firstly, please email us us a debug file (SecuritySpy menu > Debug > Create Debug File On Desktop) and let us know the name of the camera as shown in SecuritySpy. Then we'll send you a test version with a modified stop command.
