System requirements calculator without recording
Hi,
I have a NVR and don’t use the recording feature. I have at the moment 10 cameras and 8 of them on SecuritySpy.
Thinking of increasing the number of cameras but not sure how my Mini MAC will handle more cameras. Should be nice if there was an option to choose no recording in the calculator.

The calculator assumes that the incoming video from the cameras is recorded as-is, without any further compression. In this scenario, recording uses barely any additional CPU over and above everything else that SecuritySpy is doing (decompressing the incoming video, displaying to the screen, running the web server etc.). So the results of the calculator are still valid in this case.
