Error writing the Preferences file

I'm getting an error message
"Generated by the SecuritySpy server running on the computer "iMac":
Error writing the Preferences file 5.2.1,10,2 File not found."

I'm on the latest MacOS 10.15.3 and SecuritySpy 5.2.1, any ideas why I'm getting this? All else seems normal: all cameras working and recording to disk OK.

    Sorry about this issue, please do the following to fix it:

    - Quit SecuritySpy
    - Drag SecuritySpy from your Applications folder to your Trash (this won't affect your settings)
    - Download and install SecuritySpy 5.2.1 (download link)
    - Open SecuritySpy
