Audio trigger causes motion capture?

I have "Enable Audio Level Detection" checked. And "Capture movie in response to motion trigger". I seem to be getting video triggered by audio - no discernable motion. Is this the way SecuritySpy is supposed to work? If I don't check "Enable audio level detection" will I get audio with a "Video motion detection"?

    Yes, the whole purpose of the "audio level detection" option is to trigger recording when the audio level reaches a certain threshold. If, instead, you simply want audio to be recorded with the video captures, you'll find these controls under Preferences -> Cameras -> Audio.
