Settings for iOS App IPCamera

I apologize in advance if this is very basic, but it took me a while to figure out so maybe it will help someone else.

I wanted to temporarily set up an old iPhone as an input to SecuritySpy. After reading through the existing post on this topic I chose IPCamera since it worked with the very old version of iOS on the phone. It was easy set up and view in a web browser, but I had trouble getting a successful connection in SS. By default, IPCamera serves up the video stream with some very useful controls all in the same window, which SS understandably does not like.

By using the "Inspect" command on the default URL, 192.168.1.xxx, I discovered that the video stream source could be isolated by using 192.168.1.xxx/live

In SS, using the IP address in the Address field, a Manual profile, Stream 1 and adding, /live to the Request field the camera successfully connected.

My takeaway is that any source that combines (compatible) video with other content into a 'dashboard' type view via a web browser might be made to work with a similar approach.

Side note: the connection to the phone failed reliably after a short time until I dropped the resolution to 640 x 480 @ 2fps. After that the connection has been solid. But I attribute that to using a very old phone (a 4s).
