different capture destinations

Hi there... I love SecuritySpy... Can you add please separate capture destinations for motion and continue videos/images? I want to use Dropbox but only for captured images and nothing else. I know I can set SS to put everything there already but I need to separate them.

Hi Ricardo,

I'm not sure if we are going to implement such a function, as users hardly ever request this. However, you can achieve what you want by adding the same camera twice, and assigning one instance to continuous capture to one capture destination, and the other instance to motion capture to a different destination.

Hi Ben.... Yes I did try that method but it was to much work especially when you have lots of cameras.... Can make another recommendation. Could you add the FTP functionality when motion images are uploaded that a folder is created with the date and images are put there? I notice Security Spy does this for its own captured files on the storage path. It would make it easier to understand the FTP site if needed.

On another note... Thank you for making such a great product... I have tried many other security software such as ispy, and went with blue iris for a while but came back to SecuritySpy. It's literally the best out their hands down. I could write many pages about how much I love SecuritySpy!

Yes, you can get SecuritySpy to create folders with the date as their name on the FTP server, and use these to upload the files to. This option is called "Append day folder name to path" and you'll find it under Preferences -> Uploads.

If you don't see this option, you must be using an old version of SecuritySpy, in which case you should download and install the latest version of SecuritySpy.
