High memory pressure detected
I continually get this message when running 3 cameras (Hikvision: 2 POE and 1 WIFI) on a MacMini 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 8GB of Ram. Any suggestions? I've recently upgraded the Mini to the above specs while also installing a solid state drive as the original was failing.

I sometimes get the same warning, but this is not neccesarily related to SecuritySpy.
The high memory pressure that SecuritySpy reports is the one you see in Activity Monitor.
SecuritySpy only reports what the system is telling, so you have to look there.
You can open Utilities > Activity Monitor and look at the memory usage. Sometimes other apps start consuming more and more memory over time. Quitting those apps should release the memory.
If you keep getting this warning, you simply do not have enough memory or you have too many applications running.
I am also using a MacMini with 8Gb, 8 cameras, and this Mini also runs macOs server, Indigo, Chronosync backups and Spotify streaming for the whole house.
I usually have 7Gb used in total. -
What macOS system version are you using? On 10.9 and later, SecuritySpy relies on the system's report of memory pressure (as @petecam correctly states), and if you are getting this message frequently then there is definitely lack of RAM that could be causing issues such as poor performance.
However on macOS system versions 10.7 and 10.8, it is not possible to query the system about memory pressure, so in this case SecuritySpy makes its own measure based on reported RAM usage, which is inherently less reliable.
If you haven't done so already, I would recommend installing the latest macOS system version supported by your machine, which is 10.11. See this document from Apple for how to do this: How to download OS X El Capitan.
If you are still getting the memory pressure warnings with macOS 10.11, then there is definitely an issue that you should resolve, perhaps by reducing the number of applications running on the machine, or by reducing the pre-capture times in SecuritySpy for motion detection (this features uses lots of RAM), or reducing the cameras' frame rates. -
My MacMini is running 10.9.5. Software update indicates I can update to High Sierra but when it does its checks it indicates it will not run on this machine, which I was certain. I will look at the link you provided on upgrading to El Capitan.

I've updated to El Capitan and reduce the pre capture time from 10 seconds to 5 second on my two cameras. I did notice that Dropbox was using lots of memory so have turned it off. I regularly keep Indigo, Security Spy,WeatherSnoop3, and Growl running.
