SS 4.6 seems to "get tired" during the day

I recently upgraded to SS 4.2.6. I have 7 cameras (mix of SD and HD). I set the HD cams to 5 fps. When I launch SS everything is fine and I can view the cams remotely using my iPhone or Mac (browser). However by the end of the day (let's say 11 pm) some of the cams don't show up anymore in the iPhone or browser or it takes a long time for them to show up. This can only be remedied by restarting SS. I don't see anything in the log file. What could be the problem?

No replies so I downgraded back to version 3.10. Version 4 seems to be unstable on my mac mini.
