Alarm Mask
I do not know if this is possible already or could be added as a feature later on, but I would like to be able to create a mask area that if motion is detected in that area it would trigger an alert on my phone. I would still like it to record motion for everything though. The reason for this is I would like to record all motion in my backyard, but only alert me when someone is near the door.

At the moment, it's only possible to specify a single mask for each camera, and this one mask affects both motion capture and actions (notifications, sounds, emails etc.).
However a workaround is as follows: add the camera twice to SecuritySpy using the exact same device settings. This way, you can specify different masks, with one instance of the camera recording video and the other instance sending notifications. If you use exactly the same device settings when adding the second instance of the camera, SecuritySpy will recognise that the two instances refer to the same device, and will pull just one video stream from the camera, and will not count the extra instance towards your SecuritySpy license limit on the number of cameras you can use. -
Ok, Thanks I will give it a try and that it a good enough solution for now. It would be great to see it added as a feature in a future version.
