Hi Ben,

Two of my three Onvif cameras aren't working in 4.1.5 and I can't see any way of rolling back due to the automated update. Please help.

Best regards,
Paul Grimsley

  • Rebooting the cameras resolved that problem for me.
  • Rebooting doesn't work and everything is broken on my side.... None of my 10 cam are working!

It also only seems to affect stream 1 on my cameras. Switching to a lower quality stream also resolves the issue for me. It's not ideal, but a work around for now.
  • that didn't work either for me
  • Does deleting a camera. Restarting SS and then re-adding an affected camera help?

That would help rule out a failure of old camera settings being updated for the current SS version.
  • Rebooting my cameras doesn't help me. I deleted one of them and re-added, that didn't help either unfortunately.

My ONVIF cameras are cheap chinese 720p ones, so I'm unsure of their ONVIF profile versions. One is working. I think the issue is with specific ONVIF versions/profiles.
  • Hi All, this does seem to be an issue that is affecting a few users, which didn't come up in our testing for some reason. It's probably an easy fix, but we can't seem to reproduce it here, which makes it difficult to track down. If any of you are willing to allow us access to your Mac via TeamViewer this is probably the best way to track this down - please email us if you can help in this way. Once we find the problem we'll release an update to address it ASAP.
  • OK I believe this problem may be fixed now - please all try the latest beta version of SecuritySpy (currently 4.1.6b1) and let me know.
  • Ben, as ever... thank you! The beta is working perfectly in my setup.
  • Great! I'll just wait for a few more users to confirm, then will release this officially (probably tomorrow).
  • Beta works for me!
  • Many thanks for reporting back. This fix is now in the new 4.1.6 update - simply use the "Check for Updates" option in the SecuritySpy menu within SecuritySpy itself to update your version. I'm closing this discussion now as this issue has been fixed.
