Remote Browser Interface

I currently run SS on a headless Mac Pro and have a copy of SS (non-recording) running on my laptop. I'd love to be able to use the copy of SS on my laptop to browse the recordings (using the browser interface so that I can see multiple images at once). I realize that this would require a ton of bandwidth and is non-trivial to implement.

I can use Screen Sharing to browse, but it is not convenient.

Has this been considered?

This has been considered, but it's an extremely difficult thing to implement. Plus, under the current implementation of the Browser, the whole day's footage for the selected cameras would have to be transferred to the client SecuritySpy before it could be displayed, which could take a long time, especially over a slow connection.

The best way at the moment to view captured footage remotely is via SecuritySpy's built-in web interface. Have you tried this?

I like the ability to see more than 1 captured stream at once and am not fond of the web interface. Since I'm on a wired gigabit connection, I set the capture destination on my non-recording SS to be the server's recording locations and can browse from my laptop at reasonable speeds. I can't view the unfinished continuous capture video, but I can review prior days. Problem is now is that it takes longer to start as SS has to mount the volume.

I guess I can't have everything! (Screen sharing into the box makes it a little hard to view the video.)
