While adopting a software/based NVR, what are the competitive advantages of SS over BI?

BI - as in Blue Iris?
That is more of a OS platform question where BI = Windows Platform and SS = Mac OS Platform. Whichever platform you use or have access too, go with that.

macOS is a huge fan one!
SS feels easier to use. I tried them ALL (Windows, BI, Linux, too many security programs to recall.) before deciding on a Mac and SS.
