Hello there,

I run an IP Cam

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2015-Model-HS-SCB405IP-V10-Huisun_60279090694.html

on SecuritySpy.

It was established as ONVIF device. The functionality is completely given and PTZ working properly.
The only sticking point are the presets, this can not be programmed.

In Webgui the camera, the presets can be set up without any problems (the name can not be changed) and also control.

In the SecuritySpy but not working.

The camera includes the latest firmware, SecuritySpy is up to date.

Someone an idea?

Many greetings
Michael

  • Hi Michael,

This is a not a known bug in SecuritySpy, which has been tested with many ONVIF cameras and no problems with the presets have been seen. SecuritySpy will query the camera about its presets during the initial negotiation process, so whether the presets have been created by SecuritySpy, or created in the camera's settings pages directly, they should simply work. If they are not working then I can only assume that there is some kind of bug in the camera's ONVIF implementation relating to presets. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future camera firmware update, but I don't think there is anything we can do from our end. Sorry we can't be of more help with this!
  • Thanks Ben,

so i must wait for new firmware...
  • Hello Ben,
I tried to reproduce the problem with "Blue Iris". To my amazement, the presets in this software are functional (setting here also ONVIF).
So I suspect that in SecuritySpy the ONVIF implementation is not quite consistently - at least deviations in ONVIF protocol against Blue Iris exist. Thus, it can not be due to the camera's firmware.
    Best regards
    Michael
  • Hi Michael,

I'm not sure what could be going wrong here, because SecuritySpy is definitely sending correct commands. So that we can look into this further, I think the way forward would be for you to put your camera online temporarily so that we can connect to it from here and do some testing - would this be possible? To do this you will have to set up the port forwarding settings on your router to forward incoming connections to the camera on port 80 and 554, and email us your public IP address (or DDNS name, which can be set up in SecuritySpy's Web Server Setup window). Let me know if you need more information about how to set this up.
