No Remote Access on Wired Connection

Oddly when computer is on wi-fi I can access via SS iOS app inside or outside of my network. However, when I configure computer for ethernet access, I can see I get an IP and computer shows xxxx.viewcam.me with a green light, but the app won’t connect. Using default 8000 port on a eero Pro router; uPnP enabled. Ideas?

    Switching between WiFi and Ethernet will change the Mac's local (LAN) IP address, which is probably interfering with the automatic port forwarding that SecuritySpy is setting via UPnP. I would recommend that you have the Mac connected by Ethernet at all times, with WiFi turned off to avoid any conflicts. Then, if remote access isn't working, try a reboot of the router, which will clear any previous UPnP port forwarding rules. Then SecuritySpy should be able to configure port forwarding to the Mac's Ethernet IP address.

    That did the trick! Thank you; by now I should know, reboot, reboot, reboot…….
