`One movie per event` creates very long video files with capture at the end

edited March 2020 in SecuritySpy
I'm using the One movie per event setting for motion capture. The recorded .m4v files are very long, sometimes hours, with the actual captured motion somewhere in the timeline, usually at the end.

I suspect that each motion capture is being inserted into a timeline of the entire day (so if action happens at 6pm i'll get a movie file thats 6 hours long with the motion at 6:00:00 in the movie)?

Is there a way to just create a movie file with only the motion?
