Amcrest IP5M-1190W PTZ control
I have a new Amcrest IP5M-1190W that I really like, but it doesn't work fully with SecuritySpy.
The pan and tilt (this is not a zoom camera) do not function in SecuritySpy, and the 2 way audio does not work. Yet these functions work in Amcrest View Pro, in the web interface, and tinyCam Monitor for Android also works perfectly.
I have tried ONVIF, Amcrest and manual profiles in SecuritySpy and even the Auto-Detect profiles, but none of them work.
Even if the PTZ presets worked in SecuritySpy, that would be helpful, but the 2 way audio is the primary reason I bought this camera.
Any thoughts on anything I might try, or could this be something that "is in the works" since this is such a new camera?
BTW, the error shown in the log for this camera is: Error sending PTZ command for camera "Doorcam 35". 5.4.1,4430,401 Authentication error - bad username or password.
BTW, the username and password are correct in SecuritySpy and it allows me to view, set preferences and record for this camera, so I don't think the username or password is really the problem.
Mac OS 11.6.1, iMac Pro, SS version 5.4.1

It's interesting that the error is an authentication error. Are you using the "admin" login account in SecuritySpy? Can you see any setting via the camera's settings pages related to authorising access to PTZ controls by clients connecting to the camera?
If you are able to put this camera online for us to test with we would be happy to do so in order to try to get this working for you. Please email us at support@bensoftware.com and we will send you instructions on how to do this.

I am using the admin account, and there doesn't seem to be an area related to authorizing PTZ. I'm happy to put this camera online, and I'll send an email. Thanks

I have similar issues with one of my Amcrest cameras too. I wont pollute your thread but one the licenced Mac Mini I can control both cameras using PTZ but in my bedroom from my just view only Macbook Pro M1 where SecuritySpy is just in view mode (no licence installed) PTZ only works on one of the Amcrest cameras. I have like you checked firmware and updated both (they are identical from model numbers etc are concerned). I can control them perfectly through the mobile app but with Security Spy there seems to be some issue with one of them.

I gave Ben access to my camera so he will be able to look into it further. Hopefully whatever he discovers will apply to your situation too.

Thanks for providing access @Spotopolis. It seems the camera is rejecting SecuritySpy's authentication attempts when sending PTZ commands, even though the username/password is correct. I'm not quite sure why yet, still investigating but hope to find a solution soon.

I believe I have now found and fixed this issue, which came down to a fine detail about the way SecuritySpy was replying to the camera's authentication challenge. Please install the latest beta version of SecuritySpy (SecuritySpy menu > Debug > Change Software Version > Latest beta version > Install) and let me know if you agree that the problem is now fixed, or if you see any other issues relating to this. Thanks @Spotopolis for putting your camera online for us to test!
@benchamp if your issue remains with the beta version, it's probably a different problem. If this is the case, please email us at support@bensoftware.com for direct help with this.

The pan and tilt is working perfectly with the beta version! Ben is looking into the two-way audio now, since right now I can hear, but not speak through the camera.
I am so amazed at Ben's responsive customer service and willingness to delve into these issues, especially since camera manufacturers are constantly changing things! This is the best support I've ever received from ANY purchase!
