Release 5.4.1 / ViewCam - Unrecognised request
Hi,
I have been running SecuritySpy 5.4 on two servers with 8 cameras without any issues for some time now.
Having been prompted to upgrade to 5.4.1 I did so on the one trial version and was informed that this would no longer enable me to view cameras (fair enough) and suggested purchasing ViewCam, so I did.
I am now getting "Unrecognised request" displayed on ViewCam for one of my Hickvision cameras.
There are 2 other Hickvision cameras working correctly on ViewCam.
I have reverted the trial version of SecuritySpy to 5.4 and all cameras are functioning correctly.
The live instance of SecuritySpy has been updated to 5.4.1 and all cameras are functioning correctly.
Why is ViewCam displaying "Unrecognised request"?

Hi Phil, sorry that you're seeing this problem, I'm not immediate sure what it could be.
Did you copy settings over from SecuritySpy, using the Import/Export options in the File menu of each application?
Are all these Hikvision cameras the same model? Are you using the "Hikvision" profile under Preferences > Cameras?

No, I couldn't get the copy facility to work, so I set up each camera individually.
The 3 cameras are all Hikvision H.265+ DS-2CD2443G0-IW all using the ONVIF profile.

I've changed toe profile to Manual configuration and it's now working.
Why is this?

I'm not sure, they should all work with the ONVIF profile. For all 3 cameras, if you select the Hikvision profile instead, does this work?

Yes, Hikvision profile works for all 3 cameras.
