Three questions always arise when setting up a new system.

Which cameras should I buy?

Start by reading Choosing a system. This section explains the different types of camera available, and helps you choose between them.

What other equipment do I need?

Take a look at Example systems, which describes all the hardware you need for the most common system configurations.

You can then read the section of the manual that relates to your chosen type of camera for more detailed advice. The two main sections are Network cameras and Analogue cameras.

How do I set up my system?

Setting up network cameras and Setting up wireless cameras guide you though the process of configuring network cameras, and the remote monitoring Set up guide shows you how to access your system from the internet.
