Quad processors can be used to connect four analogue cameras to a single video input. They work by combining the video from four cameras into one analogue signal, which is split into quarters. SecuritySpy can treat this input as four independent cameras.

However, we do not recommend the use of quad processors because they severely reduce the resolution of the video from each camera, resulting in very poor video footage.

Quad processors can be used with input devices that connect to the computer via USB, FireWire or PCI, however they cannot be used in conjunction with network video servers.
