I would like to record 24/7 but also want to see when the motion was triggered in the browser timeline. This way i can skip to motion triggers on the timeline(previous/next).
If having both continuous capture and motion capture enabled will it create separate files utilizing more disk space?

Comments

  • Yes, having both functions enabled will use more disk space. However, in a typical situation, motion is generally quite infrequent, so the amount of data captured by the Motion Capture recording would be almost insignificant compared to the amount of data captured by the Continuous Capture recording.

When using Continuous Capture, you will need to have a large amount of storage space, whether you additionally have Motion Capture enabled or not. Our system requirements calculator should give you a good idea of how much storage space you will need.
